As a Warehouse Worker,you will be responsible for providing warehouse support including picking,packing, assembly, sorting, shipping, and receiving of orders to meet thefacility’s productivity and quality goals within the establishment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Readsproduction schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisitionto determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Movesmaterials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designatedareas.
- Sortsand breaks down product by SKU, quantity and product type.
- Abilityto use electric pallet jack as well as stand-up forklift is a must.
- Effectivelycommunicate with Receivers, Drivers, Driver Check-in, & Forklift Operators
- Adheringto proper safety practices for truck and trailer pull process on a daily basis.
- Sortsand stores goods in designated areas of the warehouse.
- Responsiblefor the proper handling of all company issued equipment, including PPE, voiceequipment etc.
- Responsiblefor reporting all safety concerns in the work environment on timely basis.
- Assemblescustomer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or movesorders to loading dock to prepare for shipping.
- Labelpallets with identifying information when instructed.
- Opensbales, crates, and other containers when necessary.
- Recordamounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Accuratelyweighs or counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformanceto company standards. (Assists in billing process.)
- Maintaina 99% accuracy rating of inventory records on a daily and weekly basis.
- Responsiblefor the safe operation of all warehouse equipment daily.
- Responsiblefor completing daily equipment inspection logs and working safe at all times.
- Mustmaintain audit-ready sanitation standards in the work environment at all timesin all areas of the warehouse.
- Mustsecurely palletize and wrap product to prevent damage during transport.
- Mustmaintain product integrity with proper handling & report damage tomanagement immediately.
- Mustfollow all company policies and procedures.
- Followall federal, state and local HACCP, OSHA & GMP guidelines.
- Otherduties as assigned.
Education and / orexperience
Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three monthsrelated experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education andexperience
Qualifications
- Abilityto lift to 60 lbs
- Abilityto manage time in a fast-paced industry
- Abilityto safely use necessary tools and equipment
- Abilityto work in a temperature-controlled environment
- Candidatesmust be reliable, responsible, and punctual, with a positive attitude and workwell independently and with a team
WorkEnvironment :
- The noise level in thework environment is usually moderate.
- Temperatures can range-12F to 38F in the plant and standard ambient temperatures throughout thebuildings.
