POSITION
The main role will be to administer Parachute’s Mac management practice and to manage the Apple DEP/VPP portals for our clients. Secondarily, the role will be expected to be the administrator and subject matter expert with other SaaS applications/tools. This location can be remote anywhere in the United States or local in San Ramon, CA.
Parachute utilizes the Jamf platform to manage clients who have Mac computers as their primary hardware for end users. This position will be to customize the Jamf environment for each client based on their needs. Some common customizations would be the ability to push out applications, implement security policies, patch applications/OS and reporting. This role would also be expected to setup and manage the Apple DEP and VPP portals for each client.
In addition to the Mac administration, this role would also be expected to become the subject matter expert in various SaaS applications and MDM tools per business needs. Some examples could include following: JumpCloud, Okta, Duo or Meraki Systems Manager. These additional administration duties will be assigned based on business need, candidate interest and experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Take ownership of client IT infrastructure and be the senior Apple escalation point for the service desk team, primarily for your assigned accounts, but also within your area of expertise.
- Advise the Client Account Manager with service requirements and specifications to better address client goals and needs
- Maintain a focus on security best practices for the client in line with their business requirements and recommend security adjustments to their existing systems, and suggest any new systems, processes, or procedures that may benefit the client
- Identify improvements to IT documentation, network maps,processes/procedures
- Research products and new technologies to increase efficiency of business and operations
- Keep all tickets and projects updated and track time in a detailed format

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
General
- EXPERT LEVEL Jamf administration
- EXPERT LEVEL Mac OS knowledge
- EXPERT LEVEL Apple DEP and VPP administration
- Knowledge of other MDM tools such as Meraki Systems Manager
- Ability to write Bash scripts
Additional Skills
- General network knowledge: firewall rules, VLANs, managed switches, packet tracing, network monitoring, DNS, DHCP, FTP
- General Windows OS knowledge: Windows Server, Active Directory, Virtualization: VMWare, Hyper-V, IaaS
Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in the IT support industry working with business environments
- Minimum 5 years of Mac administration, ideally in a managed IT service environment
- Experience with ConnectWise a major plus
- Formal education in IT preferred
- Associates degree required with an IT related field of study
- Bachelor’s degree appreciated
