Under supervision and direction, the IT Analyst - New Restaurant Openings (NRO) provides technical support on all IT aspects of new restaurant openings and remodels for all 8 of Darden's brands. The NRO Analyst will coordinate with the assigned brands and partner with vendors to ensure new restaurants are opened according to schedule and with minimal technical issues.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under the direction and supervision of leadership, provides technical and operational support for all assigned brands’ new restaurant openings.
- Coordinates with restaurant management teams, vendors and installers on the implementation of all IT systems, including, Point of Sale, Table Management, Kitchen Display Systems, firewalls, switches and wireless systems.
- Performs assigned activities within plans and task checklists.
- Monitors and updates bill of materials and all New Restaurant/staging documentation to ensure they are up to date and followed by vendors.
- Regularly evaluates new restaurant opening and staging processes and looks for ways to automate and standardize processes in an effort to provide the best new restaurant opening experience possible.
- Demonstrates a commitment toward meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers and consistently adheres to Customer Service standards.
- Partners with Application Development, Infrastructure and other teams to ensurenew software, hardware and processes are implemented into new restaurant openings.
- Works with restaurant managers and service vendors to ensure prompt service delivery.
- Monitors and works with vendors to resolve hardware and software incidents.
- Keeps abreast of the latest hardware and software developments offered by Restaurant Systems team.
- Establishes a thorough knowledge of the systems, processes and procedures used by our brands.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 1+ years restaurant operations experience.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately determine when hardware service is required and direct service vendors for corrective action.
- Understanding of restaurant systems installation, troubleshooting and escalation processes.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while using sound judgment to make accurate, efficient decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships and strong customer service orientation.
- Proven ability to work effectively to achieve results and adapt to frequent change.
- Self-starter with initiative to proactively identify and act upon opportunities without direction.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be flexible to support new restaurants openings that may require assistance nights and weekends.
- Ability to travel overnight.
PREFERRED QUALIFICIATIONS:
- ITIL V3 Foundation Certification preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
